Educational Background:

I am a double Gator! I attended the University of Florida for my undergraduate education, majoring in Animal Sciences and minoring in both Anthropology and Zoology. I then attended the UF College of Veterinary Medicine, where I received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. While in veterinary school, I completed an externship at Loggerhead Marinelife Center where I spent several weeks caring for sick and injured sea turtles, and took additional courses to earn a certificate in Aquatic Animal Medicine. I also completed the Feline Veterinary Medical Association’s certificate program, earning the Cat Friendly Veterinarian certificate.

Fav part of job:

There are so many wonderful aspects to this job; I have a particular interest in cardiology and internal medicine. However, I would say my favorite part is knowing I’ve helped make a positive impact on the lives of animals and people. The bond between humans, animals, and nature is so important, and I am fortunate to be in a position where I can protect that bond through healing and education.

Outside of work:

Outside of work, I am very involved with the arts! I have been playing the violin since I was 11 years old, and I really enjoy playing with local orchestras. I also enjoy dance, specifically ballet, and love to craft, paint, and create. On lazy days, I like to spend time with family watching movies or playing video games with my cats Kiwi, Baby, and Wolfie by my side.
